The prestigious magazine The Wine Advocated includes again Bodegas Sobreño in the latest issue of the publication led by Robert Parker. On this occasion, the magazine gives an excellent score to three wines from the Spanish winery: 91 points for Finca Sobreño Ildefonso 2014, 90 for Finca Sobreño Reserva 2013 and 89 for Finca Sobreño Crianza 2015.

The Wine Advocated, which considered an international commercial reference, has numerous experts who qualify and value wines from different denominations of origin in depth. His representative in Spain, Luis Gutierrez, has visited Castilla y León and has pointed out that “Toro still has the advantage of plenty of ungrafted old vines planted in its fields”.

In his note of tasting the critic describes Finca Sobreño Ildefonso 2014 as a "serious wine that combines power and elegance, it shows very good balance and freshness and fine-grained tannins". According to the critic, Reserva 2013 “is a serious and balanced Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) from a cool year that produced a fresh wine with fine tannins. The oak is nicely integrated, and it has a compact palate with clean, focused flavors. A very good harmonious reserva. For its part, according to the expert the Crianza 2015 “is a powerful red with aromas of raspberry juice and aromatic herbs with a spicy twist. It's medium bodied, with fine tannins and good freshness. A very accessible and easy to drink crianza”.

Other recognitions

The wines of Bodegas Sobreño, one of the most recognized brands of the Denominación de Origen Toro, have been awarded in numerous national and international competitions. The Finca Sobreño Ildefonso 2014 has already obtained 91 points Parker and 92 points from the prestigious American critic James Suckling, in addition to getting a Gold medal in the 'Berliner Wine Trophy'.

Also, Finca Sobreño Reserva 2013 stands out for its international recognition with the 93 points awarded by the Swedish sommelier Andreas Larsson for the publication 'Tasted 100% Blind', or the 90 points of Robert Parker, James Suckling and the Peñín Guide.

On the other hand, Finca Sobreño Crianza 2015 also obtained 92 points from James Suckling, 90 from Andreas Larsson, and 89 from Robert Parker.
